The Gianni Macor farm is family-run, founded in 1981, mainly as a hobby and passion of Gianni. It has been growing over the years, with the purchase of new vineyards, machinery for winemaking and for the treatment of the vines, constantly improving the quality of wine.

WINES AND PRODUCTION

Vini

We produce about 220 hl, nearly 10,000 bottles a year. Applying systematic thinning out, and the practice of bloodletting on red wines, the quality of the product obtained in recent years has not been affected by climate problems.

The wines produced by the Azienda Agricola Gianni Macor are:

  • White wines: Friulano, Verduzzo Friulano, Picolit
  • Red wines: Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Refosco di Faedis, Refosco di Faedis Riserva

THE VINEYARDS

Vigneti

The Macor Gianni farm owns and operates three hectares of vineyards, mainly located in plain, always putting the quality factor in the foreground. In fact, for many years the practice of thinning out has been used (average mature leave about 1.5 kg of grapes per vine). Also, on Verduzzo Friulano and Picolit we apply the practice of withering. Of course, the harvest is always performed manually.

  • Cultivation system: Cappuccina and Guyot
  • Plantation layout: 2,80 x 0.90
  • Plants Density: 1 x m 2,2
  • Pruning: Traditional with 1.2 branches per plant

THE CELLAR

Cantina

The winery covers an area of about 200 square meters, comprises two distinct areas, one of which is air-conditioned for optimal preservation of the wine. There are about thirty barrels of stainless steel and two wooden barrels for the Refosco di Faedis aging.
