The “Azienda Agricola Di Gaspero Flavia e Umberto” is a family-owned farm, founded in the 1930s by Eugenio. Sons Giosué and Mario continued his activities, then passed their experience on to grandchildren Flavia and Umberto, who are currently cultivating their vineyards, trying to keep the old spirit alive, merging tradition with a constant effort in improving the quality of their product.

WINES AND PRODUCTION

Vini

In the cellar, traditional wine-making methods are supported by modern equipment and winemaking techniques. The temperature-controlled steel tanks, stand next to wooden barrels where wines can mature. The average annual production is around 600 hectoliters.

Wines produced by the “Azienda Agricola Di Gaspero” are:

  • Dry Whites: Friulano, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay.
  • Sweet Whites: Picolit, Verduzzo Friulano.
  • Extra Dry Sparkling White: Le Cave
  • Red Wines: Refosco di Faedis, Schioppettino, Franconia, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Monte Corda.

THE VINEYARDS

Vigneti

Vineyards are located in the municipality of Faedis, in the eastern hills of Friuli, covering an area of about 12 hectares, stretching between hills and plains.
Farming practices and the harvest are mainly performed by hand. The use of plant protection products is as limited as possible, in order to assure a low environmental impact.

  • Cultivation system: Guyot, double Flipped
  • Planting: 1 mt. 2.80 / 3.00 mt.

THE CELLAR

Cantina

The winery is located at the rear of the main house. It hosts a space dedicated to wine making in stainless steel and concrete tanks, another one reserved for the storage of bottled wines and aging in wooden barrels. Finally, there is a tasting room, where guests and customers are welcome.
